I recently had the pleasure of welcoming Fran Medina to the How Good Can It Get? podcast, and what unfolded was one of the most fascinating conversations I’ve had on the show.
Fran is a registered nurse, holistic health coach, Reiki Master, EFT practitioner, and Akashic Records reader. But what makes her work so powerful is her ability to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and the energetic side of healing that so many of us sense is missing.
We explored topics that are rarely discussed in conventional wellness conversations:
• The connection between stress, emotions, and physical symptoms
• How unresolved experiences can become “stuck” in the body
• The role of the nervous system in healing
• Energy medicine, Reiki, EFT tapping, and mindfulness practices
• Generational patterns and how they may influence our health and behaviors
• Why slowing down and listening to ourselves is often the first step toward healing
One of the most eye-opening parts of the episode was Fran’s explanation of how emotional and energetic stress can manifest physically when left unaddressed. We discussed the importance of creating space to reconnect with ourselves, regulate our nervous systems, and move from constant survival mode into a place of greater peace and awareness.
And then things got really interesting.
For the first time on the podcast, Fran guided me through a live Akashic Records reading. I’ll admit—I was nervous. But the experience was surprisingly grounding, insightful, and deeply calming. It opened up a conversation about purpose, intuition, motherhood, and the importance of trusting what we already know deep inside ourselves.
One of my biggest takeaways from this episode is that healing isn’t just physical. It’s emotional, mental, spiritual, and energetic. When we only focus on symptoms, we may miss the deeper messages our bodies are trying to communicate.
