Return & Refund Policy
This Return and Refund Policy covers physical products sold through www.thehouseofrose.com. For cancellations and refunds related to retreats, classes, packages, and coaching services, please refer to our Retreat Booking and Cancellation Policy.
Under New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 56:8-2.14), if we do not conspicuously post a return policy, we are required to accept returns for at least 20 days from purchase for a full cash refund. This policy satisfies that disclosure requirement.
1. Physical Product Returns
1.1 Return Window
You may return most new, unopened physical products within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product price. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging.
1.2 Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Opened or used wellness consumables (e.g., supplements, oils, skincare products) for health and safety reasons
- Downloadable digital products (e.g., e-books, video programs, guided audio files) once the download link has been accessed
- Gift cards
- Items marked ‘Final Sale’ or ‘Non-Returnable’ at the time of purchase
- Products that have been damaged after delivery due to customer misuse or improper storage
1.3 How to Initiate a Return
To start a return:
1. Contact us at [terry @ the house of rose.com] within the return window. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
2. We will respond within 2-3 business days with return authorization and shipping instructions.
3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging where possible. Include a copy of your order confirmation inside the package.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped, defective product). We recommend using a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for items lost in transit during return shipment.
1.4 Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of approval. Please note that your bank or card issuer may require additional processing time before the credit appears on your statement.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
2. Exchanges
If you received a defective or damaged item, we will exchange it for the same item at no charge (subject to availability) or issue a full refund at your option. Contact us at terry @ the house of rose.com within 5 business days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the damage or defect. We may request that you return the defective item or provide us with photos before processing the exchange or refund.
We do not offer size or color exchanges at this time. If you ordered the wrong variant, please return the item under our standard return policy and place a new order.
3. Digital Products
All sales of digital products (including downloadable programs, e-books, and streamed content) are final once the download link has been accessed or the content has been streamed. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact us at terry @ the house of rose.com and we will assist you in accessing your purchase.
4. Warranty Information
Some products may carry a manufacturer’s warranty. Where a product includes a written warranty, the warranty terms are provided in the product packaging or documentation in compliance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The House of Rose does not make additional express warranties beyond what is stated in our product listings.
All products are sold with the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory warranty rights.
5. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received a refund within 10 business days of our approval notice:
- Check your bank account or credit card statement again.
- Contact your bank or card issuer, as processing times vary.
- If the issue persists, contact us at terry @ the house of rose.com with your order number and we will investigate.
6. Sale Items
Items marked as ‘Sale’ are eligible for return under the same terms as regular-priced items unless marked ‘Final Sale,’ in which case they may not be returned or exchanged.
7. Gift Returns
If you received an item as a gift and it was shipped directly to you, you may return it for a store credit equal to the item’s purchase price. Please contact us with your order number or gift receipt to initiate a gift return.
8. Governing Law
This Return and Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, including N.J.S.A. 56:8-2.14. Any disputes arising from this policy are subject to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Service.
