Episode Description
I’m excited to share my latest podcast feature, where I open up about the real story behind my midlife transformation—one that began long before I realized I was in early perimenopause.
At 37, while running a demanding marketing agency, working 18-hour days, and raising a young family, my health began to unravel. I gained 80 pounds, developed pre-diabetes, experienced severe anxiety attacks, and dealt with unexplained ovarian cysts—all without understanding that these changes were tied to perimenopause. It wasn’t until I officially entered menopause at 42 that the full picture became clear.
A breakthrough came when a coach uncovered what years of dieting had hidden: an undiagnosed eating disorder that shaped my relationship with food. Shifting from restriction to strategic nourishment, strength training, and emotional healing allowed my body to respond almost immediately—proving that midlife change does not require punishment, deprivation, or extreme workouts.
Today, that journey lives on through THOR: The House of Rose, where I host small, intimate retreats in the Smoky Mountains and coach women online through the same holistic approach that finally healed me. These retreats have grown into tight-knit “girl gangs”—women who stay connected, support each other, and rediscover their strength together.
If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or midlife health changes, this conversation will remind you: your strongest chapter can start right now.
